A BRIDE-to-be who won a dream wedding worth £6,500 has found a dress to die for.

Leanne Turner is set to tie the knot with Joseph Leighton at the Pear Tree Inn and Country Hotel, Smite Lane, Hindlip, near Worcester, after scooping the top prize in a competition run in conjunction with your Worcester News.

The lucky couple, who are both from Worcester, have just eight months until the big day, which is set for October 4. Miss Turner, aged 23, who is legal co-ordinator for Mainstay in Whittington, near Worcester, said she had tried on a few dresses before settling on her final choice in the Bridal Gallery in Malvern.

“I love the dress,” she said. “It’s perfect. I tried on a few and it was between two. I’m just trying to sort out my invitations now to get those done.

“I’ve still got to sort my hair. It’s going quite well. I think we’re quite organised. We’ve got our suits sorted and the dresses and flowers.

“I’ll probably be really nervous [on the wedding day]. I’m excited and can’t wait to get all ready. Part of it doesn’t seem real. I think it won’t until the day and I’m putting the dress on.”

Her aunt Donna Traynor, 38, who lives in Droitwich, is Leanne’s maid of honour and has been helping her pick out the perfect dress.

“Everybody had a bit of a vote and said it was the best one,” she said.

Shop owner Mitzi Edwards said the dress ideal for the blushing bride.

“She looks absolutely stunning,” she said. “Once she put it on we all knew it’s the perfect dress for her.”
