Festival fun for pupils on half term
11:22am Friday 8th February 2013 in News By Sarah Taylor
Lynn Parsons, Museum Roleplayer, prepares for our week of Festival Crafts activities.
CELEBRATIONS from around the world will be enjoyed at Hartlebury Castle this half term as part of a Festival Crafts event.
The four days of fun kick off on Tuesday, February 19, and children and their families will get the chance to explore festivals and special days happening around the globe this month.
Chinese New Year and South American Festivals are just a couple of event taking place.
From 10.30am to 4pm each day youngsters will be able to get stuck in to a whole array of colourful activities, including fashioning vibrant carnival head dresses and masks, designing firework pictures and making origami dragons, lucky red packets and paper lanterns.
On Wednesday, February 20, there will also be a chance to make a gift basket for Purim Day, a Jewish feast day which takes place later in the week.
