A WOMAN has been sexually assaulted in a Worcester park.

The attack happened in Brickfields Park, Brickfields Road, Worcester after a man stopped his car to talk to the woman. 
The woman, aged 20, was walking alone between approximately 7pm and 8pm on Monday when a car pulled up alongside her. The male driver engaged her in conversation before parking the car and getting out of the vehicle. He then walked with the woman into the park.
While they were in the park the man sexually assaulted the woman who then ran back to Brickfields Road. She managed to flag down a passing vehicle and get a lift back to a family member’s house. 
Police are keen to trace the driver of this car as they may be an important witness.
The offender is described as wearing a red jumper or jacket. He was aged in his late 20s or early 30s and he was driving a dark coloured medium sized car, possibly a VW Golf.
