Firefighter awards

FIREFIGHTERS from Worcestershire were honoured for their achievements during a special ‘Celebration of Success’ event at Worcester’s Guildhall.

More than 40 members of staff from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service (HWFRS) received awards from chief fire officer Mark Yates.

Firefighters including James Topping, from Broadway, received certificates for successfully completing their Trainee Firefighter Programme.

Mr Yates said: “Everyone who was presented with a certificate has dedicated a great deal of time and effort to their learning and selfdevelopment, often alongside their main role with the service.”
