Careers fair will help you find dream job
3:50pm Thursday 21st February 2013 in News
DON’T MISS IT: The jobs and careers fair welcomes new exhibitors and returning stands.
FINDING that dream job is now as difficult as ever, but your Worcester News has again come to the rescue to offer help and advice on finding a new career.
The Worcester News Jobs and Careers Fair, in association with Bright Assessing Ltd, will take place in the Guildhall, Worcester, on Thursday, March 14. Following on from the success of the previous fair held in September, this established event continues to give local jobseekers the chance to gather information on a variety of local employment opportunities and training and educational courses.
The fair will welcome new exhibitors, as well as hosting returning stands. Richard Hencher, Worcester News recruitment manager, said: “It is really important and also very positive that we continue to help local people by organising this careers event. “The last fair in September was huge success and attracted more than 900 visitors. We received lots of positive feedback and success stories from jobseekers and exhibitors alike.”
The sponsor of this year’s event Bright Assessing Ltd, who specialise in training people to become NVQ Assessors, are sponsoring the event for the second time following on from their success they achieved at the September 2011 event.
Samantha Thwaites, marketing manager said “Bright exhibited at our first Careers Fair in Worcester in September 2011 and were really successful in helping local jobseekers find a job after going through training. We had over 80 enquiries into our assessing course on the day from people who were looking for a job or a new career, many of whom had experienced rejection after rejection and felt we had provided them with a lifeline!
“Following on from last year’s fairs a number of people have registered onto our assessing course which we will be helping into work as soon as they have completed the course.”
Other exhibitors already confirmed for the event include Sanctuary Housing, E-Response Recruitment, Franchising.com, University of Worcester, British Army, Kidderminster College, Advanced Childcare, Pathways Care, Association for Care Training, Bupa Care Services, Inclusion Care, Happy Child Training, The Childrens Family Trust, St Basil’s and Job Centre Plus.
There is still time to secure your exhibition space at the event. To find out more about exhibiting at the fair, call Mr Hencher on 01905 742355. The fair will be open from 10am until 4pm.
