TROPHY: Emily Foster- Phillips with her community involvement award from Wychavon District Council
A TEENAGER has been given an award recognising her community involvement over the past two years.
Emily Foster-Phillips, aged 15, of Stoulton, received the Wychavon District Council Community Recognition Award for her work with the St John Ambulance and Pershore Town Youth Council.
The Pershore High School pupil, who is nearing the end of her GCSE studies, is involved in many schemes, but at the moment is fighting for a crossing on Station Road.
She was presented with the award by Councillor Richard Morris, chairman of Wychavon District Council.
Clive Corbett, Pershore High headteacher, said: “All associated with the school are immensely proud of Emily’s achievements and delighted they have been recognised with this prestigious award. It is richly deserved given the way Emily balances her community work with school work at such a busy time in her school career.”
