Badsey flower show date announced

ONE of the most well known Vale village shows will be taking place this summer for the 111th time.

The Badsey Flower Show, which will be held on Saturday, July 27, draws in thousands of visitors and last year attracted TV favourite Lynda Bellingham.

The actress, best known as a panellist on chat show Loose Women, visited the traditional village event to film part of My Tasty Travels with Lynda Bellingham.

Not only did her team spend the whole day filming at the show, getting involved with lots of the events and attractions, programme producers proclaimed Badsey Flower Show as ‘one of the best events of its kind.’

Adrian Barradell, Badsey Flower Show Committee Member, said: “Put the date in your diary or on your kitchen calendar now and do not miss one of the best-known and best-value summer shows in the area.

“Our aim is always to provide the best possible mix of professional and amateur entertainment plus, lots to look at and get involved in.

“We also are encouraging local amateur growers to have a look now at the entry categories and start planning and growing their show exhibits.”

The order of attractions and entertainment for this year’s event at the Recreation Ground, Sands Lane, Badsey near Evesham will be announced later this year.
