Church concert in aid of hospice
5:00pm Thursday 14th March 2013 in News
A CHURCH concert is being held in Upton Snodsbury this Saturday in support of Acorns Children’s Hospice.
The event, which will feature musicians from all over Worcestershire, is being organised by pianist Elizabeth Keetley-Smith in tribute to her mum, Pauline Keetley, who set up the concert before she died.
She said: “My mum began organising the concert last year but became ill so we are going ahead with it in her memory. She had already done most of the work.
“Both mum and my dad had both raised a lot of money for various charities over the years and she had chosen the charity for this one to be Acorns.
“The concert will be a mixture of Worcestershire musicians, including Kings and Folk, soprano Debbie Devaney, the Upton Snodsbury Handbell Ringers, Poppy Bennett and Ben Williams and myself. It will undoubtedly raise more than £1,000.”
Tickets to the concert at St Kenelm’s Church from 7.30pm cost £10 and can be bought from 07879 882274.
