A MAN wanted for burglary and a serious and ‘traumatic’ sexual offence has connections to Worcester, Pershore and Evesham.

Police in Warwickshire have released details of a man they are looking for in connection with a burglary and serious sexual offence which occurred in the Shottery area of Stratford upon Avon on Sunday morning, July 7.

He is 33 year old Daniel McGrath, who lives in Stratford but has connections with Evesham, Redditch, Pershore and Worcester.

McGrath is known to have been in Worcester and the Birmingham area on Sunday after the incident had been reported, and back in Stratford briefly on Monday when a police search using officers, dogs and the force helicopter was conducted. Since then searches have been conducted in Worcester, Herefordshire and south Wales. DCI David Goosen said: "The incident on Sunday was very traumatic for the victim, who has been very brave and is helping us with our investigation. "With colleagues from West Mercia Police, British Transport Police, South Wales Police and Dyfed Powys Police we have conducted extensive searches over a number of areas, and I am confident that we will find him. "Members of the public have been very helpful and I would like to thank them for their understanding and cooperation."

Daniel McGrath is described as a white male, 5'7"tall, of athletic muscular build with short, fair hair which is longer on top and greying at the sides. He also has a Tottenham Hotspur tattoo on his left leg. When he was seen in Worcester earlier this week he was wearing a blue, long sleeved shirt and three quarter length cargo trousers. Anyone who sees him or has any information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Local Investigations team at Leamington Spa on 01926 415000, or 101. Alternatively contact Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
