Driver twice drink limit loses licence
6:00pm Friday 30th August 2013 in News
A MAN lost his licence after he was found to be twice the legal drink-drive limit.
Yaem Yakimov, of Forest Gate, Evesham, was returning from a disco at 4am in his black Saab on Sunday, August 11 when he was pulled over by police.
Kate Oliver, defending, said driving was a spur of the moment decision at the end of the night. District Judge Nigel Cadbury sentenced the 29-year-old to 20 months’ disqualification from driving with the option of reducing this by a quarter if he successfully completes a drinkdrive course, and also imposed a £250 fine.
Yakimov also had to pay £85 in costs and a £25 victim surcharge.
