Equipment worth thousands stolen from an Evesham school
THIEVES have stolen thousands of pounds worth of computer equipment from Pince Henry’s High School in Evesham.
The equipment, including seven iMac computers each worth £1,000 and a £500 Yamaha mixing deck, was taken sometime over the weekend (Sat 31-Sun 1).
The burgalers attacked the sports and geography office and the iMac suite at the school during the incident.
Along with the computers they made off with a Kodac compact video camera worth £100, an Asa laptop valued at £500, a Canon high 8 video camera was damaged to the value of £10 and £100 cash was also taken.
PC Andy Smith, who is investigating, said: “This burglary will obviously badly affect the school with a new term starting this week and we are keen to find those responsible and recover the stolen items.
“If anyone saw any suspicious activity around Prince Henry’s over the weekend, then please contact us. I would also like to hear from anyone who has been offered any Apple computing equipment in dubious circumstances.”
Anyone with information should contact the police on 101 and quote reference number 293S-010913.
