3:30pm Friday 13th September 2013 in News
AN exhibition commemorating 100 years of an iconic British brand is featuring work by a Broadway artist.
Jeremy Houghton’s paintings from the Aston Martin centenary tour of Europe will feature in the exhibition at The Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon, Warwickshire, along with archive photographs from the Trust’s Roger Stowers Aston Martin Collection.
Born and bred in Broadway, racing and equine sports have long been Mr Houghton’s constant inspiration.
The artist has also spent the past year as resident artist at Highgrove for HRH The Prince of Wales and was selected to be one of the Olympic artists for London 2012.
“Having spent so many years painting British sport, it feels like I have saved the best till last with the Aston Martin paintings,”
“The courage of the drivers, combined with the skill of the engineers, gives this art exhibition a story like no other I have been involved with”.
Once the exhibition ends, Mr Houghton’s paintings will travel to India for a show in one of the newest Aston Martin dealerships in Mumbai.
The month-long exhibition starts today (12).
Admission to ‘100 Years of Aston Martin’ is included in the standard Museum entry fees. For details visit heritage-motorcentre.
