Teen's trail of destruction
5:20pm Friday 13th September 2013 in News
A DEFFORD man left a trail of destruction in a pub after drinking six pints of alcohol.
Scott Allen, aged 18, of Hill View, admitted two charges of assault by beating, criminal damage and using threatening, abusive, insulting words or behaviour when he appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court.
Lesley Ashton prosecuting said a “serious incident of disorder”
took place which started in the Royal Oak Pub, Bredon, just after 5pm on August 23.
She said Allen became aggressive to a group of customers after the barmaid told him to clean up the mess he had made after he vomited over the bar, floor and toilet.
“He started attacking the group swinging punches at them,” she said. “The group attempted to restrain Mr Allen for a short time but he broke free fand started to punch out at anyone in his way.”
Miss Ashton said the disorder spilled out into the street where Allen swung punches at Bronwyn Baynes and her brother David.
Defending, Sam Lamsdale said Allen had a number of conditions including learning disabilities, ADHD, obsessive compulsive disorder and Asperger’s syndrome.
“There’s been a lapse of anybody treating him. His parents have been to the pub and they have paid the money to the landlord.
He is going to be re-paying his parents £10 per week.”
The case was adjourned until Friday, September 27. Allen was released on bail on the condition he does not enter licenced premises or Main Street, Bredon.
