Sanctuary auction is set to be fabulous

ABSOLUTELY Fabulous star Joanna Lumley has once again thrown her support behind the Farm Animal Sanctuary in the Vale.
The TV legend has donated an original script from a scene of the comedy show and a signed photo of her character Patsy Stone to be put up for auction to raise money for the sanctuary.
The actress, who is the charity’s patron, has long supported the farm, which needs to raise money to purchase the land it is currently located on to secure its future.
Janet Taylor, owner of the sanctuary at Manor Orchard Farm in Middle Littleton, said they were hoping the open auction, which is open to bids until Monday, October 14, would raise a large amount towards the campaign.
“We have had a good response so far,” she said.
“We have got really good supporters so we are keeping our fingers crossed.
“It is a big opportunity for us to bring in a nice amount of money.”
The sanctuary received a boost last month when it agreed a three-year contract with the landowners – meaning they have more time to raise the £450,000 to buy the land.
It also held a successful open day on Sunday, September 1, when they raised more than £3,000.
Ms Taylor added: “It is going to be hard work but we are heading in the right direction and will keep working hard and crossing our fingers.”
To take part in the auction either post a bid to Janet Taylor, The Farm Animal Sanctuary, Manor Orchard Farm, School Lane, Middle Littleton, Evesham, WR11 8LN or visit thefarmanimal sanctuary.co.uk
