A TEENAGER was left badly shaken after he was robbed of his laptop containing his college work by three men in Pershore.

The Pershore College student left the college grounds at 1pm yesterday via the Pensham Hill entrance and walked down the footpath to the tunnel that leads under Bridge Street.

As he entered the tunnel he saw three men entering from the other end. They ran towards him, wrestled with him and ripped away his bag, which contained a Sony Laptop.

One man ran off back through the tunnel with the laptop bag while the second grabbed him by the throat.

The teenager head-butted him and managed escape and ran back to the college where he raised the alarm.

All three men were described as being white, in their mid 30s and of average height.

The first man, who stole the laptop bag, is described as stocky build and a generally scruffy appearance and was wearing a black beanie hat.

The second man had a tanned complexion, was slim with short dark hair. He was also scruffy and was wearing a black raincoat.

The third man had a dark, greying beard and was also scruffy.

Detective Sergeant Stuart Hawkeswood of South Worcestershire CID said: “A young teenager being jumped by three grown men in daylight in a normally peaceful town like Pershore is unusual and the victim has been left quite shaken by his experience.

“The laptop contained the student’s college work, so this robbery has affected the him in many ways.

“It occurred at a busy time of day and the area is popular with walkers and dog walkers, so I would like to hear from anyone who saw this offence or the three men acting suspiciously in the area.

“The student thinks his head butt caused a cut to the bridge of the nose of his attacker, so if anyone knows of someone who has received such an injury, then please get in touch.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101 with reference number 303s 06/11/13.
