POLICE are linking a series of three break-ins that happened at the weekend.

The properties in Camp Hill Road, off London Road, Stanley Road, off Wyld’s Lane, and Henry Street, off St George’s Lane North, were targeted on Saturday, November 23.

Burglars are believed to have entered through the back of the house in Henry Street between 4pm and 9.15pm and searched the property before taking £1,300 in cash, a gold chain bracelet, plain gold hooped earrings and a plain gold ring.

The back door of the house in Stanley Road was forced between 3pm and 8pm, causing £100 of damage, but nothing was taken.

The Camp Hill Road property was also entered through a rear door between 4.40pm and 5pm but the burglars were disturbed by a member of the household returning home and nothing was taken.

Detective Sergeant Emma Whitworth from Worcester Police said: “The burglars ransacked the house in Henry Street before leaving with cash and personal items of jewellery and, although nothing was taken in the other two burglaries, these events are very distressing to the householders and their families.

”As Christmas gets closer, we would ask people to make sure their homes are locked and valuables stored securely. We also recommend that people use timer switches on lights to make sure their homes are lit when they are unoccupied.”
