A MAN was taken to hospital after falling whilst working on a scaffolding rig three storeys high.

West Midlands Ambulance service was called to the incident in Tothull Lane, Salford Priors, near Evesham, after the man fell at about 9.45am on yesterday.

An ambulance, a rapid response vehicle, a paramedic area support officer and the Trust’s Hazardous Area Response Team were sent to the accident.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival at the scene crew’s found a man on a scaffolding rig three storeys high.

“The man had reportedly fallen on the scaffolding and had hit his neck during the fall. On assessing the man he was found he be light headed and disorientated.

“Due to the nature of his injury the Hazardous Area Response Team removed a window from property next to the scaffolding enabling the man to be brought down to safety through the house.

“The man was conveyed to Alexandra Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
