IT is gold number two for a Cotswold hotel after winning the highest accolade from Visit England.

Three Ways House Hotel in Mickleton, famously known as the home of The Pudding Club, was awarded a gold award in recognition of the high standards achieved in service, accommodation and hospitality.

In their report, the judges commended the owners for being “very proactive” in ensuring a real focus on customer service. The whole team are to be congratulated on achieving the prestigious Gold accolade and are wished continued success for the future,” it said.

Jill Coombe, who owns the hotel with her husband Simon, said they were particularly pleased after holding the silver for the last five years.

“Our team have been working really hard over the last year on improving the customer experience here and the facilities we have,” she said.

“It’s a really great thing for them. We really hoped that we would win.

“We’ve focused on customer service, improving the food and standards.”

Coombe added: “It’s been a great reward for all that hard work.”

􀁥 Three months ago the hotel won gold in the Green Tourism Business Scheme, after holding the silver since it joined the scheme in 2007.
