Ferret racing
AN evening of ferret racing organised by Pershore Rotary Club will help preserve the eyesight of up to 400 people in Sri Lanka.
The funds will help fund eye tests in the country’s remote villages. Spectacles and cataract operations, carried out free of charge, are then provided to those in need.
The event raised £1,067, with a further £750 donated from central Rotary funds, £617 collected in individual donations and £1,000 from the D&H charitable trust.
