THE National Trust is looking for singers of all abilities to help raise the roof at a historic mansion house.

A brand new community choir has been formed to sing at Croome Court, near Pershore, and organisers are on the lookout for people to join its ranks.

The choir plans to sing music from all over the world in the grand surroundings of Croome’s Long Gallery on the last Thursday of every month.

Chrissie Leaney, one of the leaders of the new choir, said: “We are really excited to be working with the National Trust.

“There will be no auditions and no need to read music as all songs will be learnt by ear and we want this to be fun.”

Anyone wishing to join can e-mail chrissieleaney- @naturalvoice.net or visit number8.org.

Each session will cost £5 with the first taking place on Thursday, March 27, between 10am and 1pm.
