PERSHORE College is looking forward to welcoming green fingered celebrity James Wong for an evening of all things horticultural next month.
The BBC broadcaster, best selling author and all round Botany geek will be presenting the evening on Tuesday, February 4 at the college, in Avon Bank, Pershore, from 7.30pm.
James was most recently seen on our screens on BBC Two’s Great British Garden Revival and will be giving the free talk with the aim of inspiring young people to think about horticulture as a career.
He said: “A career in horticulture is often completely unfairly dismissed as being un-academic, mundane and poorly paid. But that is simply not true.
"In reality horticulture can be one of the most dynamic, creative and rewarding industries out there - with immense professional opportunities to earn a fantastic living."
Tamsin Jones, Acting Principal at Pershore College, added that the college were "absolutely delighted to welcome such a high-profile speaker".
The talk is free to attend, but places are limited, so to book, visit warwickshire.ac.uk/jameswong.
