THE year got off to a great start for one Evesham resident who scooped £1,000 worth of shopping vouchers after being picked as the January winner of the YES card loyalty scheme.
Lynn Ratcliffe, of Green Hill, Evesham, became the latest person to win after collecting her stamps from local stores and spending money in town centre businesses.
She said: “YES is a great scheme and really encourages people to shop locally. I’m absolutely delighted and it couldn’t have come at a better time. I’m moving soon, so the vouchers will help me buy plenty of things for my new home.
“Evesham has some terrific independent shops, so that’s where I’ll be heading.”
Her winning card was drawn by Tony Haugh, chairman of Evesham Tree of Light Committee together with Joseph Jones, Evesham Market Operator.
