A CALL has been made for nominations for a prestigious awards ceremony celebrating young volunteers.

The Tryangle Awards, now in its ninth year, recongises the achievements of volunteers aged between 11 and 19, or up to 24 for those with a disability, who have overcome challanges of health or personal circumstances.

There are six categories in the awards – bravery, citizenship and environment, sport, arts, good friends and carers and personal development – and any young volunteer in the county is eligiable.

Young people recieving awards in the past have said the accolade has increased their confidence and self esteem.

The closing date for nominations is Friday, Feburary 14 and a presentation will be held later at the headquarters of Worcester Bosch.
