A PERSHORE man has been arrested following a public appeal to track him down.

West Mercia Police issued a public appeal on Thursday, January 23 to find Matthew Schramm of Newlands in connection with a burglary at the former premises of CM Ogle Ltd pharmacy in Church Street on Saturday 18th January.

The 32-year-old was arrested on Sunday, January 26 and has been charged with the burglary as well as another offence at the same property overnight between Wednesday, January 22 and the following day.

He will appear at Worcester Magistrates Court this morning.

Detective Constable Zoey Carter of Worcester CID said: “I would like to thank the public for their response to our appeal. We received a number of calls about Schramm’s whereabouts and they were key to locating him.”
