EVESHAM Probus Club paid tribute to the Scottish Bard Robert Burns with a supper at a local club.
The well attended Burns Night Supper was held at Ecgwins Private Members Club, to commemorate the birthday of Robert Burns, one of Scotland's most famous sons, on January 25.
The celebration upheld the long-held traditions associated with the famous event from the Selkirk Grace to the Immortal Memory, and central to the evening was the traditional dish of haggis, ceremonially
presented by Rachel Benwell of Ecgwins and accompanied by Piper John Morrans.
The haggis, imported from Scotland especially for the occasion, was accompanied by the equally traditional neeps and tatties and the customary address to the Haggis was delivered by Canon Peter Burch.
