DINERS at an Evesham restaurant tucked into a hearty breakfast in the name of goodwill as they raised cash for the Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research charity.
Frankie & Benny's restaurant in Evesham served about 20 tables Tuesday (Jan 28) morning as people popped along to lend their support to the cause.
Ruby Hawley, senior marketing co-ordinator, said they were hoping to raise at least £500 before the summer and the £225 raised at this latest event was a great start.
"We saw a lot of people come along after reading about the event in the Journal," she said. "It was a cause and we had a great turnout. As a company we will try to raise £150,000 for the charity by the summer.
"We want to raise £500 at each restaurant so we will have more events coming in Evesham.
"I am very pleased with how this first event went and to have such good support from the local people. I am sure we will exceed our target."
