TWO men have been arrested after they were found to be growing 60 cannabis plants at a property in Offenham, near Evesham.

Officers from the Evesham Safer Neighbourhood Teams uncovered the cultivation set-up in a converted refrigeration unit in Newtown after executing a search on Thursday, January 30.

The two men in custody were arrested shortly after on suspicion of producing a controlled drug.

PC David Shortell said: “We are actively engaged in identifying locations that are being used in the production of cannabis in the communities we serve.

“We have had a number of successes in recent weeks and we will continue our efforts to tackle illegal drug production across the Vale.

“We hope we have the continued support of the public, which is essential to our work, and if you have any concerns about illegal drugs activity in your community please contact us with any information you may have."
