A FUNDRAISING event for this year's Pershore Carnival will take place on Friday (February 7).
The event will be raising money for the popular carnival but will also pay tribute to a town stalwart who died suddenly in January last year.
The Dave Shaw Tribute Quiz is being held at Pershore Sports Club, Defford Road, Pershore, from 7.30pm and people are being encouraged to come down and take part.
Colin Shepherd, an organiser of the carnival, said: "Dave was a very big member of our carnival so in recognition of Dave we thought we would pay a tribute to him and his family. Dave was also a very big quiz player himself."
