VISITORS are being encouraged to get snapping on a new photography course at Croome Court.

The course, aimed at those with an interest in digital photography, will be one of many new creative workshops taking place this year at the National Trust house, near Pershore.

Rachel Johnson, designer and lecturer, said: "We have called the photography course 'The View' to give participants the opportunity of working in conjunction with Capability Brown's vision while designing the park.

"Look forward to working in a creative and constructive way to guide and expand on existing photographic knowledge and techniques, encouraging people to look at new ways of visual language and composition."

The course is suitable for novices looking to improve their creative photographic skills and quality of their images without being swamped by a camera's technical ability.

Learners will also begin to understand the basics of how to develop a personal styles and at the end of the course, pupils will have the opportunity to exhibit and become part of an online editorial piece designed to showcase their work.

Tom Bennett, Croome's creative director, said: "We're delighted to be working with Rachel Johnson and Al Mccaffrey, photographers and lectureres, to provide such a high-quality course at Croome.

"It is a perfect us of the beautiful park and buildings and will be the first of many workshops and courses that will be running alongside our new creative programme."
