TRADERS in Pershore have celebrated the town's Pride loyalty card after its most successful draw yet.

The group of shop owners and the Chamber of Trader have every reason to be proud of the card and this was proved when a record number of completed cards were entered into the draw during January.

Fiona Abbott, one of the organisers of Pride and owner of Three Little Pigs gift shop in Pershore, said: "This is fantastic news and a great start to 2014. It was 30 percent up on a normal month. I think it shows the demand for the card is still there. We have been discussing how to keep the whole scheme fresh and exciting so we are hoping traders involved in Pride will offer additional prizes. The Pickled Plum have offered a meal for two."

The winner of the big January draw was Penny Moore, from Pershore, who wins £25 worth of shopping vouchers.
