PARENTS of pupils at a Worcestershire school have been asked to look again at the TV and tablet habits of their children.

Bredon Hill Middle School, near Evesham, reminded parents that the brain takes approximately one to one and a half hours to wind down after the use of a TV, tablet, phone or laptop.

That time is extended if children are using games that cause their adrenalin levels to rise.

Parents were told that increasingly numbers of pupils were reporting poor sleeping habits despite tiredness being known to have a huge impact on learning.

The warning was delivered after staff attended child and adolescent mental health training.
