Body pulled from river

THE body of a man has been pulled from the River Avon in Evesham.

Emergency services were called to the Weir Meadow Caravan Park yesterday at 10.20am to reports that a body could be seen about 12 foot away from the bank.

A rescue boat operated by Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service was used to collect the body.

Police are currently working to identify the body as there was nothing on his person stating who he was and he does not match the description of any missing people.
