AN up-and-coming singer-songwriter will swap the Faithful City for the bright lights of North America's leading entertainment industry events.
Tina V has been invited to play at this year's Canadian Music Week alongside the likes of Herefordshire's BRIT award-winning star Ellie Goulding from Tuesday to Saturday, May 6-10.
This high-profile invitation comes as the Worcester musician is busy putting the finishing touches to her forthcoming album, Cut the Tent, which she will start promoting with a gig at the Firefly, Lowesmoor, on Friday, March 7 before embarking on an eight-week tour.
The formal release of the record is scheduled for the end of May.
Tina is also the front woman for the Worcester-based rock band This Wicked Tongue, which has recently received national BBC radio air play on the 6Music digital station, and plays regularly in the covers band Laszlo.
