THE Worcester Philharmonic Orchestra is set to perform its next concert in Pershore Abbey in the coming weeks.

The orchestra's spring concert will be conducted by Neil Aston and will begin at 2.30pm on Saturday, March 8.

The afternoon starts with the Sorcerer's Apprentice by Dukas, followed by Mozart’s delicate concerto for Flute and Harp performed by international harpist, Jemima Phillips and Worcester Philharmonic Orchestra’s own flautist, Jane Charles.

The orchestra is joined by Pershore Abbey’s organist, Michael Pegg for Saint-Saens’ dramatic Symphony Number 3, the Organ Symphony.

Tickets, costing £10, are available from Tourist Information Centres in Pershore, Worcester and Malvern, from Blue in Broad Street, Pershore, A la Carte in Pershore and at the door.
