A TOURIST attraction on the Worcestershire/Herefordshire border has been named one of the country's best family days out.
Eastnor Castle, near Ledbury, was highly commended in the Best Family Day Out category during the Hudson's Heritage Awards at Goldsmiths Hall in London.
The awards, established in 2011, are independently judged and cover historic houses, gardens, museums and heritage sites.
The awards were presented by TV presenter Loyd Grossman.
“We are absolutely delighted to have been highly commended in the 2014 Hudson’s Heritage Awards," said James Hervey-Bathurst, owner of Eastnor Castle.
"It is testament to the high standards and commitment to excellence we offer our visitors to ensure they have the best possible experience.
"Receiving this award is a wonderful acknowledgment and recognition that Eastnor is among the best heritage attractions in the UK."
