EVESHAM Rotary Club enjoyed a frugal meal of soup and sandwiches during their lunch meeting to raise money for the End Polio Now campaign.

The club joined in the World's Greatest Meal during the week long event at the end of February in order to support their on going bid to eradicate polio worldwide.

After eating the meal they then donated the balance of the amount they normally pay to the campaign.

The donations raised will get a welcome boost from Bill Gates and his wife Melissa as for every pound raised by Rotarians around the world they will donate another two pounds.

In this way, the Rotary Club of Evesham raised more than £330 for the campaign.
