A NEW counselling centre called Archways has opened in Evesham to provide a listening ear to those who discover they are unexpectedly pregnant or have suffered the loss of a baby.

The centre, located on the first floor of the Library Arcade which links the High Street to Evesham Library, is open for drop in sessions between 10am to 3pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and at other times by appointment.

Centre manager, Gill Woods, said: "Our ethos is that no woman should have to go through the experience of considering having an abortion, or dealing with a miscarriage or past abortion without being supported.

"We have a team of local people who have undergone active listening training to allow clients the time and space they need to work through their own thoughts and feelings.

"We do not charge and our sessions are free."

Free pregnancy testing is also available.

For appointments call 01386 247249. The centre is located on the first floor of the Library Arcade which links the High Street to Evesham Library. If you are interested in supporting this new charity then contact the centre on the above number.
