POLICE are urgently appealing for help to find a 70-year-old man from Pershore who has gone missing.

Christopher Guy Treharne was last seen in Pershore town centre on Sunday, March 2, afternoon and last spoke on the phone to someone at about midday on Monday.

He is described as 6ft 1ins tall, with blue eyes, dark hair going grey around the sides, a thick moustache and he walks with a limp. He may still have reddening to his forehead following a previous fall.

He has lived in the Pershore area for five or six years and is known locally as Guy. It is believed he may be wearing a brown waxed-type jacket and green Wellingtons.

Inspector Rebecca Love from police in South Worcestershire said: “We are very concerned for Mr Treharne’s welfare and his family is very worried about him.

“He has been missing for several days and has not answered calls. For that reason we are treating him as a high risk missing person.

“I am appealing to Mr Treharne directly to contact the police or his family. They are very distressed about your disappearance and all they want is to know that you are safe and well.”

Anyone with information about Mr Treharne and his whereabouts is asked to call police immediately on the non emergency number 101 quoting incident number 691s 050314. Alternatively information can be passed on to the charity Missing People by telephoning 116 000.
