DISTINCTIVE jewellery of 'great sentimental value' to the owner has been stolen during a burglary at a house in Droitwich.

The burglary took place between 2pm and 8pm on Monday, March 3 at a home off Bromsgrove Road.

The offenders forced a window at the back of the house to get in and made an untidy search of the rooms upstairs before leaving with women's and men’s jewellery and a Toshiba Satellite L675D laptop computer.

Some of the jewellery is distinctive and was specially commissioned by the owner. Some pieces have South African, Mexican and Egyptian hallmarks and all items are of huge sentimental value to the owner.

They include a 1.5ct diamond ring with a central oval stone surrounded by small round diamonds on a rose gold band; a large flower-shaped ring with three flowers made up of pink sapphires, amethysts and diamonds on a rose gold band: and an oval mystic topaz ring set on yellow gold with a very large cradle setting and a broad band with a Mexican hallmark.

Other items include a man’s Maurice Lacroix watch model Spadeo 04663 Chronograph, date on four, gold plate, with a white round face and brown leather strap, which has a Maurice Labroix insignia.

There was also a man’s Maurice Lacroix watch model LC1017 Les Classiques, with three hands, date on six, in a stainless steel case, with a gold plate face and dark brown leather strap, which also has a Maurice Lacroix insignia.

A third man’s Maurice Lacroix watch model 89844 has a white face, Roman numerals and is possibly made from 18ct gold.

PC Nicky Burgess of Worcester Proactive CID said: “All these items are of great sentimental value to the owner and we are appealing to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the streets around the Dodderhill area and off Bromsgrove Road to contact us."

"Also, anyone who is offered any of these items or sees them advertised for sale is asked to contact us immediately."

Those with information can contact police on the non-emergency number 101 and quote incident number 643s 030314.

PC Burgess added that there was another burglary in that part of Droitwich around the same time. The two offences are being linked by the police.
