A NEW group set up by concerned traders in Evesham is going from strength to strength.
More than 100 businesses in Evesham have joined Real Evesham since it was set up at the beginning of the year and over 30 traders came together for the second meeting of the group this month.
The free group, founded by business owner Kim Dunn, aims to be a forum for local business allowing them to work together and try to influence some core issues.
Ms Dunn, owner and manager of Bonk in Evesham High Street, said: "Let's all work together to make things better for Evesham traders and everyone who lives and works here."
During the latest meeting suggestions to promote the town and encourage trade onto the high street were made including the continuation of the town's loyalty card, which is set to finish at the end of the month, holding breakfast meetings and contributing to the town plan.
Ms Dunn added: "This isn't about moaning, or reinventing the wheel, as no other groups are free, set up by traders, and have a genuine agenda to be positive and help with communication. This is especially important in these current difficult times.
"The traders would also like to take this opportunity to thank their customers for their continued support, and all look forward to a great summer and seeing you all pop into town and visit the shops."
The next meeting is set to take place on Wednesday, April 2, at a venue to be confirmed.
