A BEAUTICIAN from Pershore has swapped tanning for training as she prepares to compete in the London Marathon for local charity the Midlands Air Ambulance.

Jenna Hayton, aged 26, will take on the challenge, her first ever marathon, on Sunday, April 13.

The owner of Jenna's Beauty Bar, who lives just outside Pershore, has been running since she was 12 and completed a number of half marathons.

She was due to enter the London Marathon last year but was forced to pull out after becoming injured.

"I was meant to do it last year but I was injured so I feel like I have been training for two years," she said. "I am nervous, I have done half marathons but never a full one. My brother has been giving me lots of advice because he has done marathons before.

"I am hoping to do it in under four hours and raise as much money as I can for the Midlands Air Ambulance."

Miss Hayton is hoping to raise £300 for the charity and to support her visit uk.virginmoneygiving.com/JENNAHAYTON.
