IT was deadline day at Prince Henry's High School in Evesham when students put together their own newspaper.

The Prince's Herald was produced in one day last week by 19 students from Year 9 to Year 13 and featured articles on everything from the missing Malaysian plane to news about the school's book day.

Librarian Rosy Bennington said: "We had a fantastic Newsday with 19 students under pressure to product The Prince’s Herald in a day.

"Articles were written on national, international and school news. This ranged from one about the missing Malaysian aeroplane, news about the new pound coin and the Budget, the Oscar Pistorius trial, scientific articles and school news about the author Matt Dickinson’s visit for World Book Day, and the highly successful school musical production of ‘Anything Goes!’.

"The students selected articles for the front page, and decided what should go into the paper. We met the 5pm deadline and all the students worked very hard but had a most enjoyable day."
