AN Evesham forensic science equipment manufacturer has donated £2,800 to two local charities.

Foster + Freeman Ltd, who design products used by police forces and government agencies worldwide, raised £1,427 for the Tracy Sollis Leukaemia Trust and Acorns Children’s Hospice.

The staff and directors of the company raised the cash through a raffle at their staff Christmas party which was then doubled to £2,854 by founding partners Doug Foster and Bob Freeman.

Sue Sollis, the founder of the Tracy Sollis Leukaemia Trust visited the Evesham firm based on Vale Park Business Estate to collect the cheque in person.

She said: “I am extremely grateful for this magnificent donation. It will greatly assist the Trust in extending its ability to enhance the treatment and care of leukaemia patients.”

The Tracy Sollis Leukaemia Trust will host their Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, April 15 where members of the trust will highlight the achievements of the past year and look towards the plans for the future.
