A VALE choir entertained audiences when they took part in the Worcester Music Festival, even earning a distinction for two of their songs.

The Vale Connection Ladies Chorus were given the distinction for the A Cappella songs, Java Jive and Mr Sandman, which they performed during the festival in Worcester.

They are now looking for new members to join their group, which has raised thousands of pounds for the Birmingham Children's Hospital, Alzheimer's and Cancer Charities.

Catherine Walne-Pennington, from the choir, said: "We are always looking for new members to join the group, with or without musical experience. A love of singing is important and our fabulous Music Director, Amanda Ballard makes it so much fun. Ladies of all ages and abilities are welcome."

The choir rehearses on Thursday evenings in Evesham.

The next chance to see the chorus is on Saturday, May 17, at the Cheltenham Music Festival.
