THE lengthy closure of the Abbey Bridge prompted an April Fool's day prank this week.
On Tuesday, April 1, Martin King saw a notification at Evesham Train Station, which said Network Rail was set to build a new out of town station in Offenham Road.
It said this was due to the problems caused by the bridge.
Mr King said: "There was a statement saying people couldn't get to the town station because of the bridge so Network Rail were going to build a new out of town station. It was only when you got to the bottom it said 'got you April fool'.
"It was very good, very clever."
