BETS were made and money was spent at a family race evening which saw Salford Priors villagers jockey six thoroughbred chair horses.
The trusty steeds were pushed to the limit by the jockeys and the races helped to raise a total of £1,647.
The event, which was organised and run by the Salford Priors Memorial Hall, will present the money raised to help buy new medical equipment for the health centre in Bidford on Saturday, May 17, during the Memorial Hall's open day.
