AN evening exploring the life of a refugee is to be held at Number 8 in Pershore later this month.

The event, Refugees are People too, will take place on Friday, April 25, from 6.30pm until 8.30pm in the courtyard of Number 8 off Broad Street.

It is being held in association with Save the Children and Pershore Scouts and sees the Pershore and District Amnesty Group present an evening of film, information, photographs and a talk by a representative from the United Nations HC Refugees.

There will also be a standard refugee tent set up so people can try to imagine living in it with just the contents of a shelter box, donated by the Rotary Club.

Wine will be available and donations will be collected for the relief of the suffering of refugees through voluntary organisations.

For more information about the night people are invited to come along or contact Brian Johnson-Thomas on 07919662401 or email bjt_net@hotmail.com.
