FIFTY new homes are to be built in a Vale village by housebuilder David Wilson Homes Mercia.
The development in Laurels Road, Offenham, near Evesham, will provide a mixture of two, three, four and five bedroom homes and bring new jobs and investment to the area.
As part of the planning permission, which was granted by Wychavon District Council in February, the developers will contribute more than £280,000 to a variety of schemes in the local area including education, transport and sports facilities and around 100 jobs will be underpinned as a result.
Steve Barton, senior sales manager for David Wilson Homes Mercia, said: "We are delighted to have been given the green light for a brand new development here in Offenham. It is just a stone’s throw from our other development in the village, The Larches, which has proved very popular."
