AN Evesham business has donated £1,000 to a cancer unit at the town's community hospital.
Walsh Mushrooms, which is the town's leading mushroom supplier, decided to give the money to the Macmillan Unit at Evesham Community Hospital as they support many seriously ill people in the local area.
Padraic O’Leary, managing director of the rapidly expanding business based at the Vale Park business estate, said: "We rely on local employees to run our business, and have done for many years, and we wish to support their community wherever we can.
"The Macmillan nurses do a wonderful job providing support to seriously ill patients and we can think of no more deserving cause."
