A FORMER fitness instructor from Pershore has regained her figure along with her confidence after shedding three stones at a local slimming group.

Mum-of-two Beckie Jones, from Pershore, joined Slimming World in Drakes Broughton Village Hall after hearing a cruel comment from an acquaintance on a night out.

And it has proved to be such a success with Miss Jones going from 12 stone down to nine in just ten months she has begun her own group in Pershore.

She said: "I was devastated when a casual acquaintance greeted me by wobbling my post-pregnancy tummy and asking when I was going to shift it.

"That was my final straw and although I felt nervous and scared, I resolved to join my local Slimming World group straight away. A friend of mine had been telling me about how well she'd done having lost 5 stones in 9 months by eating all of her favourite foods.

"I needn't have worried though, because as soon as I walked in I was instantly put at ease and reassured by Laurie, the consultant."

Miss Jones quickly learnt how much she could eat and learnt how to cook more healthily.

"I couldn’t believe how easy the Slimming World plan was, after trying and failing so many times with previous diets," added Miss Jones. "Losing three stones has given me so much more confidence and I’ve now been offered the opportunity to open my own Slimming World group and I can’t wait to help people feel as great as I do."

Miss Jones's is at Holy Redeemer Primary School, Priest Lane, Pershore, every Monday at 7pm.

Well done Beckie Jones... but this isn't a news story, it's a blatant advert. Did the Worcester News get paid to print this?

If this story helps just one person change their lifestyle then it was worth all the effort. Well done Beckie :)

Hello, it's Beckie :) no we didn't pay to have this put in. I just want to help people achieve what I have. If they don't know where I am then I can't help them! We have a major obesity issue in this country so maybe that's why my story got published... To show that it can be done and not once did I ever go hungry or have to eat anything other than lots of lovely food. If I can help just a handful of the 11 million+ people in this country who have a weight problem then il be a happy lady! Thanks.
